England v USA

After months of waiting, the World Cup has finally started in South Africa - although England did not start quite as well as hoped with a 1-1 draw against USA. In fact, the game started very well, with Steven Gerrard scoring for England inside the first 5 minutes.  The first half then settled down with England just about on top, until Robert Green let a tame shot bounce off his hands and into the goal just before half time.  In the second half,England were clearly the better side, but were unable to make the possession count and could not add to the first half goal.
