Southend on Sea
After watching the Superbowl last night - seeing the Patriots beat the Seahawks with an interception less than a yard from the endzone with Seattle looking to score the winning touchdown with 20 seconds on the clock, we had a lazy start to the day before going to Southend. Unfortunately, we could not go on the pier (for future reference, it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, at least at this time of the year). However, we did have a nice walk along the prom, where we saw loads of Turnstone and Sanderling. I also got Teresa to pose in front of a blue and pink striped (though very closed) fish and chip stall.
