Walking along the beach in California
At the start of my latest US trip - taking in San Diego, Salt Lake City and Minneapolis, we spent a few hours walking along the San Elijo State beach, a few miles north of Del Mar. The weather was warm, but not too hot, the sea (ocean) was definitely hot enough for paddling, and there were some huge waves which suited the surfers who were out in force.
