San Diego
As part of my latest trip to US, I am spending a few days in San Diego on route to Seattle. On Sunday, we decided to go for a walk in Swartz Canyon.
The trip did not start off too well as the hire car had a flat battery and refused to start. With a jump, we were able to get going, and after taking the car back to the hire car place to be replaced, we were able to make the drive out to Ramona and on to the Canyon.
Although it had said on the website that access was limited to a certain number of people a day, and therefore you would need to get a permit, we did not realize that you had to apply for the permit online. However, there was enough mobile reception to be able to get a signal to get a pass, and we were then able to walk almost three miles down into the valley to the waterfall (there was no water falling, just a pool where the water had fallen) and then back up again.
