Ickworth House
Following our visits to National Trust properties in Derby last weekend, we thought that we should go to one nearer home this weekend. Teresa and I therefore went to Ickworth House in Suffolk, near Bury St Edmonds. The drive there took us a little longer than we had expected, and the weather got worse the closer we got. Once there however, the rain had stopped and so we went for a walk in the grounds. There were a few colour coded walks. We decided to go for the blue (4 mile) walk, which appeared to start along the same path as the red (7 mile) walk. As we could not see any signs for the blue walk, we started following the red walk. As it happens, the blue walk did not follow the red walk at all (the black cycle track followed the red walk, and clearly the blue and black colours were not distinct enough on the map). We therefore ended up doing a hybrid of the red and blue walks - but still about the 4 miles we were aiming for.
By the time we got back to the house, the weather was a little better, allowing me to take some more HDR photos. Not sure which I like the best.
