A trip back to Keele
It might not have been the best reason to go back to Stoke - it was to go to Uncle Graham’s funeral - but as we had made the trip up the M6 on the afternoon before the funeral and were only a few miles from Keele, it was too good an opportunity not to go back and have a look around. My old rooms were still there, as was a lot of the buildings I remembered. The Union and the shops looked very similar - although the bookshop is now a coffee bar (I guess people don’t use books much more), and the bank was no longer there (again, why would a student need to go to into a bank when it is all online). However, the University has grown a lot. There were a lot more buildings and it was all quite impressive.
