Colchester Zoo
As we had not been to the zoo for some time - probably since last summer - we decided that despite the poor weather, we would take a trip to the zoo this morning. On the way to Colchester, it started to rain. By the time we got there, the rain had stopped, but it was getting very windy and cold. We therefore started indoors with the chimpanzees. However, once they had been fed (it would appear that chimps like raw onions), they disappeared, and so we had to go and look for something else. The lion was sitting out - and decided to do a little roaring - and the meerkats did not seem too worried about the cold, although at times it looked like they were shivering. However, it did not stop me getting some pictures of them, or of the otters who did not seem to mind the weather at all.
